Hi again. It’s Kathy Wallis of White Marsh Angels. I hope and pray that you had a blessed week.

Our group met the Wednesday before Easter and on May 11th last. We talked about some Old Testament Prophecies pretaining to Holy Week. And, we sang some good ole Hymns.

It was interesting this year because Easter and Passover were the same week this year. Jesus was in Jerusalem the week of His Death, because it was Passover. He rode through the streets on a donkey on Sunday, the Sunday that we call “Palm Sunday”. He ate the Passover Meal, which we call, “the Last Supper”. Jesus knew it was His last supper; He is the “Pascal Lamb”, (the lamb for Passover).

He was then arrested, Crucified, died, and was buried for all of our sins.

But,…He rose from the dead, 3 days later, on a Sunday, which we call Easter Sunday. Now, that’s a Praise the Lord!

And, that’s why we have our Church Services on Sundays.

Because of this, if we have Jesus in our life, we too, will rise up from the dead, and be with Him. No other founder of any other religion can claim that. Another Praise the Lord!

We had a good gathering in April, and May, with a great lunch of a BLT or Chicken Salad Sandwich, and Burgers in May. It seems that our Pastor and staff are good cooks.

We also have a little Game Day Get Together on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 10-12 in the Youth Room of the Church. We play with some of the Games like Shuffleboard or Ping Pong in the Youth Room, or play a Board Game in the Library down the same Education Hallway. Or, just Chitchat! Its Fun, and a day out. We will continue this 4th week Get Together in the Summer.

Our last regular group meeting will meet again on Wednesday, June 8th, at 10 AM at White Marsh Baptist Church. We are going to order our lunch from a local restaurant, so if you would like to join us, please contact me or the Church Office, by Monday, June 6th.  We DO need a head count this month, so we can order a meal for you.
