Giving: An Act of Worship

We give as an act of worship. It is an affirmation that we recognize everything we are and have belongs to God. It is a declaration of dependence on God as our provider and of our confidence in God’s promise to care and provide for us. When we withhold His tithes and our offerings we are making a statement that our resources belong to us and that we take care of ourselves. Scripture is filled with many promises of God’s provision and saturated with stories of His faithfulness. By allowing God’s generosity to flow through us in the giving of tithes and offerings we support what God is doing in Perry Hall, the greater Baltimore region, and around the world.
